The problem is political. So is the solution.
Louisiana has some of the most restrictive abortion laws in the country.
Politicians have made deeply personal medical decisions for millions of people, usually with little regard for the consequences.
Women are being denied care. Doctors are being forced to navigate politics instead of practicing medicine. Families are being left with fewer options, fewer resources, and less control over their own futures.
And the politicians responsible have faced remarkably little political accountability.
We're not waiting for Louisiana to change. We're building the political power to change it.
For too long, Louisiana politicians have operated under the assumption that restricting reproductive freedom carries no political consequences. That they can take away our rights without risking their own power.
Not anymore.
We believe reproductive freedom can be a source of political power in Louisiana. We believe voters deserve candidates who will defend their rights, and that politicians who take those rights away should have to answer for it.
WE'RE NOT HERE FOR ONE ELECTION.
Changing Louisiana's political landscape won't happen overnight. And it won't happen by showing up every four years.
It takes organizing. Recruiting candidates. Building relationships. Challenging assumptions. Investing in communities. And doing the political work, year after year, that makes lasting change possible.
